GardenCalc is a small, independent collection of free gardening calculators. We build simple, fast tools that answer the practical questions gardeners face when planning beds and buying materials – how much soil, mulch or compost to order and how many plants to buy.

Each calculator uses standard geometry and unit conversions (for example, 1 cubic yard = 27 cubic feet and 1 cubic foot ≈ 28.3 liters), and the methods are explained on every page so you can check the math yourself. Results are estimates: real materials settle and vary, so it is wise to round up a little.
